Woodchop.in started using the Kai Progress bar App in November 2024 to help boost their AOV and achieved a 15% uplift in their overall AOV in Decemeber 2024.

Performance Analysis of the Kai Progress bar Shopify App
From the data we see, 72% of the paid (and confirmed) orders have crossed the 1st tier and 5% transactions have crossed the 2nd tier threshold thereby getting a free gift.
The AOV uplift from the paid orders which crossed only the 1st tier is 10% and from orders which crossed the 2nd tier is 115%. The 2nd tier has a higher threshold to cross and hence the AOV impact is bound to be higher.
Overall, putting together all the orders which had any form of discount from the progress bar, we see a net 15% uplift in AOV. Even though the discount is visible in the announcement bar as well, the progress bar visually adds another nudge to the customer to add more to the cart and hence the AOV uplift.
Even comparing absolute numbers from December with November shows an uplift in AOV.
